Microsoft Has Just Bought Bethesda, Giving It Doom, Fallout, Elder Scrolls And Wolfenstein
2020 sure is wild.
Microsoft has just purchased Bethesda parent company ZeniMax Media for $7.5 billion, giving it ownership of franchises such as DOOM, Wolfenstein, Elder Scrolls, Dishonoured and Fallout.
The deal means that Bethesda's studios – Bethesda Softworks, Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios, Arkane, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog and Roundhouse Studios – are now part of the Xbox family.
